Collina Serragrilli is situated on the hill of Serragrilli just outside of the town of Neive. Close to Barbaresco and Alba, Neive is a town full of famous producers. The soil and microclimate contribute to the amazing complexity of the great reds produced by Collina Serragrilli.
Collina Serragrilli is highly regarded as one of the finest producers in Piemonte. Selected as one of 300 producers for the prestigious “Banca del Vino” (the Bank of Wine), Collina Serragrilli continues a rich history of winemaking which began at the end of the 19th century. The fourth generation of the Lequio family carries on the traditions of their ancestors with great pride. The three Lequio sisters, Rosanna, Daniella, and Antonella, with the help of their husbands, Piernicola, Mauro, and Gianni, have raised this historically important winery to new heights. Their adherence to tradition, along with adapted techniques of modern winemaking, has helped to create clean and bold wines that accurately express the nature of the grapes and terroir.
The apex of their efforts can be realized in their Nebbiolo based wines. The Barbaresco “Serragrilli” and Barolo “La Tur” are two of the finest wines we’ve encountered. Barolo has been called the King of Wines and the Wine of Kings. This is easily understood when opening a bottle of “La Tur” Barolo.
