This is mentioned in the Wine Spectator “Insider”, which states the following: “Impressive aromas of crushed raspberry, with hints of toasty oak. Full-bodied, tight and chewy, with lots of fruit and silky tannins. Still very tight and structured. Best after 2010. 555 cases made (JS).” In our opinion, the 2001 vintage surpasses even the 1999, which received 95 points. This is an excellent vintage for the cellar, one not to be missed.
Awards: Wine Spectator: 91 Points (April, 2007), Gambero Rosso: due Bicchieri (selected for final tasting).
