Casisano Colombaio Rosso di Montalcino
A Rosso to round out the offering from this excellent producer. The 2005 vintage is full with typical notes of cherries, blackberries, and violets. A maraschino cherry aspect envelopes the wine as it opens. The finish is nice, with a complex palate. Refreshing, with a memorable finish. This will be quite a wine, and one that can be enjoyed while waiting for the Brunellos to peak.
