The Sagrantino grape exists only in the small area around Montefalco in Umbria. Currently there are about 800 hectares planted of the Sagrantino grape and 92 producers making the wine. It is a treat to find. Goretti offers an excellent representation of Sagrantino with rich full flavors of deep berry and sweet tobacco. This wine is a delight to drink and should be savored over several hours. It is an excellent alternative for those who love the big flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is consistently well rated and a gem for any portfolio.
